Melbourne Boathouse Wedding
When newlyweds Rob and Kim were dating, they visited the Fairfield Boathouse in Melbourne and immediately knew that’s where they wanted to marry. Taking a great deal of inspiration from their invitation suite from Rifle Paper Co., the couple and their friends planned an amazing day that was as much a treat for the guests as it was for Rob and Kim themselves. Our thanks goes out to the incredible Jonathan Ong for sending these images our way!
From the bride, Kim: The style we envisioned for our wedding was vintage autumn picnic with a touch of boathouse dapper: Autumnal, eclectic, vintage, boating, whimsical, handmade, textured, fabric, florals, rifle paper co.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Contrary to popular opinion, a wedding should be all about the guests! Focus on how you can make the day as special for them as it will be for you. If your friends and family are having a blast, you can be guaranteed that you will be too!

Loved the grooms hat in the first shot, then was pleasantly surprised to see the same hat offerred to guests, and even cake taking a nod to the classy headwear!

Beautiful! One of Melbourne’s best kept secrets, the Fairfield Boathouse, captured so well by Jonathan. What a gorgeous couple.
What a beautiful wedding! And so lovely to see (and inspiring) that the bride and friends did the styling/decor rather than a styling company! You wouldn’t happen to have any hints on where to find the amber coloured jars? Thanks
so many lovely details here – the boats and the table setting just to name a few. I love the hanging greenery above the tables – what a whimsical touch!
So beautiful! Was the canopy at the ceremony handmade? Im looking for something similar for a November wedding in Melbourne and can’t get over how gorgeous it is! Thank you so much for sharing!
