Intricate Suits Grace the French Wine Countryside for an Intimate Wedding

Thomas and Jared said I do overlooking the breathtaking countryside in France in stylish intricately patterned suits. Together with their wedding planner, La Dolce Events, the couple planned their intimate destination wedding in the French countryside from home in Colorado. Swooning is an understatement because we are head over heels for all the chic details and bright dahlias captured by Poppy & Co.. So enough with the chit chat and let’s dive in to the beaut, shall we?

From the photographer, Poppy & Co.Thomas and Jared’s wedding at Chateau de Panisseau in the French Wine Countryside was unforgettable and an undeniably gorgeous effort of a group of Boulder, Colorado vendors working with a handful of French vendors, but what left the most lasting mark was all of the love of 39 close family and friends that was brought into the 300 year old Chateau de Panisseau, a historic castle and active winery, to celebrate Thomas and Jared.

From the couple, Thomas and Jared: Our wedding planner really spent a lot of time helping us to conceive what we wanted this particular celebration to look and feel like; personalities, energy, vibe, etc. We knew that in order to have the intimate feeling we wanted, we couldn’t invite everyone we originally planned. Making our guest list proved to be one of the most difficult and heart-wrenching activities we’ve ever done, because we have so many people we adore and cherish from various times in our lives. And, in the end, having a small group was worth it. We hand-picked just under forty of our close friends and family, choosing individuals we knew would bring a sense of lightness and positivity to the group. It was also really important to include people we wanted to bear witness to our commitment to each other during our heart-felt ceremony.

The people who came complemented one another’s personalities and amplified the fun and beauty of the community as a whole. We got to see lifelong friends meet and become friends with other lifelong friends in a way that was familiar, effortless and beautiful. Whether it was laughing and dancing under the moon to live music at the outdoor welcome dinner, crying together listening to the touching words of loved ones’ advice concerning life and love, or quietly smiling and lounging in the sun at a poolside brunch, there was always an air of easy but deep connection amongst all of our guests throughout the weekend.

Yes, the food in France is amazing. Yes, the rolling hills, vineyards and landscape are beyond compare. But the real magic of our wedding came from the deep, authentic love and connection that our guests held for us as a couple, and for each other as we watched new friendships blossom literally overnight. We came together in love as a couple, and in end our best gift was an even bigger “chosen family” of friends for life.

How amazingly stylish were those suits? We love how much of the couple’s personality shown through their intimate wedding in the French countryside that just goes to show you that you can plan an epic destination wedding from afar. If you love just how cozy this wedding felt, then we think you need an engagement session to match the vibe.
