We’re upping the dreaminess factor today with this real waterfall elopement in Oregon. Jordan and Phil packed their bags for the Pacific Northwest and exchanged vows in private under rushing waters, with Minerva House Photography there to capture it all and En Vogue Events to make sure everything went off without a hitch. Later on, the couple had a celebration in Houston to celebrate their newlywed status with friends and family to get the best of both worlds!
Adventure seekers Jordan and Phil had dreamed of eloping in lieu of a traditional wedding ever since they got engaged at the end of 2014. As soon as we found Wahclella Falls in Oregon, tickets were bought and bags were packed. The couple could not have dreamed up a better location than underneath a waterfall, deep in the heart of a dreamy Pacific Northwest forest to exchange their vows.
Jordan and Phil spent the morning of their wedding together, getting ready at the beautiful Columbia Villas Hotel, situated on the edge of a 210’ cliff overlooking a breathtaking river and falls. Once Jordan had finished her hair and makeup with Powder Inc., she slipped into a stunning, A-line gown with a detailed beaded top and keyhole back. Leather combat boots were the perfect addition to her bridal look for her PNW wedding, and much better than heels for hiking to the ceremony location! The couple did a first look outside of the hotel, and then began to hike the trail to the waterfall. Once at the breathtaking ceremony site, Jordan and Phil exchanged personal vows and officially became husband and wife! To incorporate some traditional wedding elements, the couple toasted with wine, and cut into a mini cake. The next day, the newlyweds headed off on their first journey as a married couple; a honeymoon Thailand.
While an intimate elopement was exactly what Jordan and Phil had pictured for their wedding, they still wanted a chance to celebrate with their family and friends. This summer, they hosted a laid back reception at White Oak Music Hall, Houston’s newest music venue. Simple floral and lounge accented the concert vibe of the venue, which perfectly suited the music-loving couple. Jordan was also able to shorten her elopement dress, and wear it again at the celebration. Dancing was the main attraction of the evening, as well as a video of the elopement shown on the roof top space of the venue, overlooking the Houston skyline.
