This Greenhouse Texas Wedding Venue Will Make Your Jaw Drop

couple kisses at outdoor wedding ceremony

Sarah & Grant’s al fresco ceremony and tented reception in a greenhouse Texas wedding venue is- how can we put this- …ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! We’re in love with this gorgeous design and we don’t care who knows it! 36th Street Events planned an incredible outdoor Texas wedding with the prettiest chinoiserie plates, and an abundance of pampas grass, roses and dahlias in hues of terracotta to perfectly compliment the venue. The couple is absolutely glowing in every photo by Feather & Twine and we can’t help but smile along with them!

From the bride: When Grant and I first got engaged in San Diego we started thinking about where we wanted to get married. We were both born and raised in Indianapolis, but spent the majority of our relationship in Austin, TX. We felt like our love really grew in Austin and wanted to share this special location with all our beloved friends and family! We started looking at venues and the first one we toured was The Greenhouse at Driftwood — we immediately connected with Harper, the owner, and loved the sprawling grounds and lush greenhouses. We ended up cancelling all other venue tours and booked a wedding date before the end of the weekend!

Our style for the wedding day was largely inspired by the natural landscape of Texas and the venue itself with a bit of bohemian flair. We aimed for a natural color palette (terra-cotta, sage green, dusty blue and marigold) that we brought to life through seasonal blooms and organic materials used throughout the ceremony and reception. We wanted to ensure the day felt like ours, so while we relied on vendors for most of the heavy lifting we also added a few homemade (escort cards and invitations) and local elements (Lick ice cream truck!) to the day. Our final guest count hovered around 100 — enough people for a party, but intimate enough for the day to feel relaxed!
