Amber + Sean’s Intimate Monday Wedding
Yes, you read the title right. Their wedding indeed took place on a Monday! What a lovely way to start the week with this lovely intimate vintage inspired wedding. Shot by the talented Ken Kienow, Amber and Sean chose Linn’s Farm Store in Cambria, California to celebrate their union with close friends and family.
Amber’s darling vintage inspired dress is from Unique Vintage.
A little bit from the bride, Amber:
Sean and I planned this wedding in only seven weeks. This alone made it necessary to keep the wedding small and intimate which was fine with Sean and I because that’s what we wanted. What started as just Sean, me, a witness, and our pastor grew to that plus parents and siblings and finally to an agreement that we would invite 25 people each…you’d think it was the bride who kept increasing the guest list…but it wasn’t, it was Sean 🙂 We ended up with 30 guests which was perfect given the small setting. We picked a Monday because we knew it was going to be outdoors and likely in a touristy area so we wanted to pick a day that was least likely to be busy. Also, we were on a very tight budget and everything is less expensive during the week (like booking places for our honeymoon!)
Love this session of photos of Sean waiting to see Amber for the first time as a bride:
Initially, we thought we’d have our wedding at the beach but we just weren’t feeling “it”. We drove around one day looking at different locations and as we were ending our tour, on a whim, I suggested we drive out there. It just clicked and we knew this had to be the spot. We immediately drove back into Cambria to Linn’s Restaurant and spoke with Aaron Linn. I told him our idea and he was excited because that is where he got married, his sister got married, and his best friend got married…those were the only 3 weddings that had been done there. He said he’d have to ask mom and dad and get back to me. The Linns said “yes” and the rest is history!
We knew we wanted to do something unique and vintage-y. As for the peacock, after we decided on our location, we went back out there for a visit and were pondering what our color scheme should be given the surroundings. There was a resident peacock and he was strolling around that day which gave me the inspiration. I just love the vibrant colors inspired from that beautiful bird! I asked Sean if he would wear a peacock inspired tie and he liked the idea. In the end, the tie we picked out didn’t work out but from there a theme was born and he ended up with that really cool turquoise print tie which totally worked out! The vintage feel was even more inspired by the location and the surroundings; the old broken down truck, the farmhouses, etc.
I will be announcing the lucky winner from Brilliant Earth’s giveaway today, so check back in a bit!

How lovely! Simple weddings can be so elegant.
Lovely wedding!
When love is present you need so little else to create a stunning wedding. The simplicity allows the couples love to become the focus.
Congratulations on a beautiful wedding. Wishing the couple much happiness.
