An All-White Wedding with a Chic Tropical Twist
Tropical weddings have been a not-so-secret obsession of ours lately – even better when you factor a chic, crisp, all-white monochromatic palette into the mix. VID Studio captures the dewy glints of amber and emerald that carry this wedding palette, as pops of coconuts and pineapples are interspersed throughout. The groom’s plaid suit reminds us of Donald Draper on vacay, and we are all kinds of obsessed with the interactive flower station this couple blessed their guests with.
From the planner, Tammy of Lovely Time Weddings & Events: Writings on leaves and personalizing the wedding was the main idea that the bride wanted the wedding to revolve around. The bride was an artist who loved the idea of writing the guests names on large leaves as guest cards and since tropical leaves were the only leaves large enough, the tropical theme just came naturally into the design. With the Oceanview and tropical wedding, we carried the idea to various parts of the decor, including the boat-inspired arch, the tropical pineapple cake, and ice-filled beer boat.
As the event designer, together with the bride, we brainstormed long and hard, looking for the unique wedding experience that the couple wanted to incorporate in their wedding, something interactive, although different from the usual Photo Booth. Cooperating with the florist, we arranged a floral station that allows guests to make their own flower corsages and crowns. The whole event was a harmonious cooperation between all the vendors, great weather, and a couple with great aesthetics. It was a pleasure to work with a bride that was so willing to personally put so much effort, by doing all the calligraphy and signage. We’re so happy for the chance to have this wedding featured on Ruffled and we thank you for your consideration.

The use of greenery as a theme is excellent. It symbolizes the natural life against the mechanized world. Wedding decoration doesn’t have to be only about the bright flowers. This setting is great.
