Ruffled member, Four Nineteen Weddings, approached the chic design aesthetic with a sense of vogue and a perfect blend of boldness from the glossy black furniture to the waxy green botanics from Stylos & Flores. For Paola and Nick, a beachfront Costa Rica wedding not only sounded great, it was also meant to be. Paola’s mother is from Costa Rica, and most of her family still lives there, so when they started making wedding plans, the location was pretty much set in stone. Their vision for the celebration was modern and lush, with a tropical feel that was not your typical tropical destination wedding. We incorporated a lot of greenery (on the tables, hanging from lights) in order to give a bit more lushness to a beautiful beachfront space that was a bit on the drier side (December to April is actually called the “dry season” due to the lack of rain). We wanted it to feel local but also worldly (Nick and his family are from France, and they both live in New York), lush and minimalistic at the same time.

Black ghost chairs, wood tables, gold accents and the ocean made it easy for us. Paola’s mom made custom geometric print napkins, and the bride herself hand calligraphed the geometric tile place cards, adding the perfect personal finishing touches.
