Whimsical Palm Springs Wedding
I just about jumped out of my seat when I saw this wedding from Studio Castillero. It’s at one of my all-time favorite venues, The Parker Palm Springs, has the incredible talent of Sitting in a Tree Events and The Floral Lab, and, well, it just exudes coolness. Prepare yourself for some bright party action to perk up the start of your weekend!
From the bride, Jenny: We really wanted our wedding to embrace the vibe of the Parker and Palm Springs. To be bright, fun, quirky and whimsical.
The look of our wedding was bright, bohemian, and a little bit quirky. We used a lot of personal elements in the décor, such as my grandma’s vintage tea cups and family silver. We also spent the year picking up trinkets, vases and other decorative elements at flea markets and thrift stores. A girlfriend and I picked out the fabric for the runners and had them made. I really wanted our wedding to have an eclectic feel but used shades of oranges, yellows and pinks to help tie the look together.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Choose a photographer that you love. Our photos truly captured our wedding weekend and I remember a new story, ridiculous dance move, feeling or moment each time I look through them. Hire a wedding coordinator (we used a month/day of). They were fantastic and ensured that every detail was taken care of so that Matt and I could enjoy our day with our friends and family.
