Golden Winter Wedding Ideas
One of my favorite themes is the contrast between masculine and feminine, which explains why I was so excited to see this shoot from Constance Curtis Events and The Vines Leaf — not to mention the incredible images by Aaron Young Photography. The exposed brick walls, the ebony table with wooden chairs, and the floral arrangements of peonies, hydrangeas, and lilacs blur the line between industrial and pretty with the greatest of ease.
From the designers, Constance of Constance Curtis Events and Aly of The Vines Leaf: The inspiration behind this photoshoot was industrial meets pretty. The table scape was designed on a beautifully ebony stained wood table that we dressed with a light ivory Irish Linen Runner. Aly from the Vines Leaf wanted the flowers and accents to be super feminine and soft to contrast against the harsher industrial elements that were the background to this fabulous dinner party. The vases were a mix of sleek and modern. The flowers that Aly chose were lilacs, peonies, fluffy white hydrangeas, a blend of roses and phalaenopsis orchids, and white lisianthus… they were so simple and gorgeous!
We accented the tablescape with vintage book stacks, cut crystal votives and the stunning “Smoke Elegance” Chargers. The chargers were finished off with a crisp linen napkin with the printed menu from Mintwich Designs perfectly tucked in and a classic olive leaf sprig with a single phalaenopsis orchid to make every guest feel special. For the desserts, we leaned towards the prettiness side with a hand painted cake that had a gorgeous gold blossom created by Cupcakes Couture of Manhattan Beach Creamery. The dessert table also had yummy treats of Mini Cream’wiches, Vanilla Bean French Macaroons, White Chocolate covered marshmallows, Snowball cookies and White Chocolate Coconut Rice Krispy bars. Two menu chalkboards were hung behind the dessert table to bring in the industrial element.

Wow, this is a gorgeous collection of photos. I’m a HUGE fan of The Vines Leaf so this was very exciting to see! XO
I am really digging the gold on the cake. Overall the color scheme is superb, the dark browns and reds contrasting with the whites comes together quite well.

Using gold in your colour scheme for your wedding is a great choice. It’s timeless, looks so pretty and gives a hint of warmth to the overall look.

Those desserts look amazing! And everything else, for that matter!
The scene here looks very timeless and elegant. This wedding can take place in the 18th century or current and still look very relevant.
Gorgeous colour palette that exudes a soft, vintage touch!
