Past and Present: Royal Brides
With the Royal Wedding upon us, I can’t help but look back at all the vintage brides that made history and set trends that we still see today. Kate Middleton is on her way to becoming yet another bridal style icon, and I can’t wait to see what trend she will add to the list. This week we’re going to share our favorite traditions of past vintage royal brides that we’re likely to see again but with a modern twist. I lost track of time browsing these pretties… First up is long sleeved wedding dresses, and their more practical alternative, cover-ups.
Starting the series with the one and only Grace Kelly:

Some ready-to-wear alternative accessories to sleeved wedding gowns…
1. This black lace bolero over a strapless gown
2. A lace cardigan for a chilly evening
3. Love Lace cape from BHLDN over a mermaid silhouette gown
4. This custom lace jacket is the perfect match if you’re after the Grace look.
They’re all so lovely. My favourite is the one at the top right, gorgeous!
Love all of the long sleeved dresses, most especially Grace Kelly’s which was absolutely stunning.

I love that high, yet long waist on Grace Kelly’s dress. Le sigh!
