Texan Wedding with Vintage Charm
Today’s wedding is everything an intimate wedding should be — full of heart and personality, teeming with details that capture the spirit of the couple. Pam and Shane supplied a variety of treats for their guests, including fresh brewed coffee in sterling silver sets and slices of pie wrapped up in the prettiest to-go boxes! Allen Tsai Photography, Keestone Events, and we+you did some amazing work here, as always.
From the event designers, Keestone Events: Fort Worth, Texas residents Pam Roberts and Shane Ollerman really brought their unique taste and fun-loving personalities to life with their intimate, creative country wedding. Keestone Events was fortunate enough to work with this charming, laid back couple for almost a year to create their perfect day. The first step was to find the perfect venue to set the tone for the whole event. When Pam and Shane set foot on the Flying V Ranch nestled in the hill country near Denton, they knew this hidden gem was just right for them. Family owned and run, this spectacular spot offered just the right combination of character and charm.
Once the venue was secured, we set out to transform the rustic country space into an elegant, vintage dinner party atmosphere. Pam and Shane broke the mold at every turn- renting long tables to facilitate a most unique family style dinner and bringing in crisp white linens and bright colorful centerpieces to dress up the quaint metal reception hall. Throughout the year of prepping and planning, we schemed constantly to pull in more unique touches. The end result was a sweet, simple ceremony overlooking a stunning hillside view adorned in a custom made floral garland. Guests watched from church pews relocated to an open air pavilion and ushered the happy couple off with bright festive confetti. While Pam and Shane worked with mastermind photographer Allen Tsai to capture this special moment, guests enjoyed cocktails and tasty stuffed avocado hors d’oeuvre in the adjacent biergarten.
At the conclusion of cocktail hour guests made their way into the reception hall to find their seat. As they entered they took in the beautiful white tables covered in an eclectic mixture of glass bottles and wooden boxes adorned with bright coral, fuchsia and peach blooms. The eye-catching long tables slinked around the room in front of a sheer white backdrop creating the perfect-sized dance floor. Overhead twinkle lights, a striking crystal chandelier and dozens of tea lights cast a subtle light for the perfect dinner ambiance. Distinctive antique tables and cabinets around the perimeter of the room added the perfect vintage touch and housed essentials like fresh brewed coffee in a silver serving set.
After Pam and Shaneโs grand entrance all enjoyed a delicious family style meal on mismatched vintage china. After dinner and a little dancing guests were delighted to discover that the standard wedding cake had been replaced by scrumptious pie served by the slice in small woven baskets. As nobody likes pie without ice cream, a charming ice cream truck was parked right outside to make for the perfect dessert. Stuffed to the brim, guests captured memories in the photo booth and danced the night away with close friends and family. All good things must come to an end though, and after prying themselves away from the dancing and cocktails, the crowd cheered Pam and Shane through the doors amidst a blur of sparklers to a handsome vintage getaway car. Exhausted and as happy as could be, the newly weds climbed into the car and were whisked away into the night.
