Today’s sophisticated indoor wedding inspiration is so good, it makes me weak at the knees. For couples who don’t fancy rain or outdoor fête, Swoon Floral Design brought you a nice indoor treat — classic black + white contrasted with navy blue and a touch of gold, dashed with acrylic details for that modern, refined look. Let’s gush over the beautiful gallery by Sweetlife Photography below.
From Kim of Swoon Floral Design: The inspiration for this shoot came from wanting to create something different from the types of weddings we’re usually a part of in the Pacific Northwest. So many weddings in our area take place outdoors, in the summer and early fall months. I wanted to do something indoors to provide inspiration for those wanting to get married in the cooler, rainy months. Using a high contrast palette of black, navy, and white, and added acrylic accents, I designed a look that is both classic and modern, and perfect for an indoor urban venue.
Mekela, of Tie That Binds, created a beautiful, classic invitation suite with a custom monogram, wax seal, and letterpress printing. Sainte G made a simple, two-tier chocolate cake adorned with black ribbon and white blooms.
The tablescape featured black linens, ceramic gold-rimmed china, classic and gold flatware. I added in acrylic candlesticks and ghost chairs for that special, but a modern element. The floral was all white with minimal greenery. A mix of classic blooms such as lilac and lily of the valley were combined with modern anthuriums.
Our real-life married couple also had classic styling. Jasmine wore a beautiful Essence of Australia gown from Ania Bridal. Makeup and hair stylist, Kirstie Wight, did a wonderful job on her classic updo and makeup. Jasmine also wore a stunning vintage, sapphire ring from Trumpet and Horn. Torgen wore a navy suit and black bow tie.
