Rainy Day Georgia Wedding

As you know, I’m a big fan of rainy day weddings. If anything, the rain that came during Maddie and Pete’s wedding added a special element of romance to an already enchanting evening. And just wait until you see their reception space! Our thanks go out to W&E Photographie for sharing their always-amazing work with us.

From the bride, Maddie: We wanted our wedding to reflect rustic elegance with a lot of country touches. Pete’s from the outback and I’m very outdoorsy so we wanted as many hints of nature that we could fit in. We wanted to use coral and teal, and lots of natural wood! We love the bright summer colors! I know our wedding planner/designer did plenty of DIY projects, however they did great and allowed us to just enjoy the process! Although, a lot of the wood was used from a log cabin on my parents property.

Wedding Music:
Processional: “Beloved,” Tenth Avenue North
Recessional: “I’m Yours,” Jason Mraz
First Dance: “Crazy Love,” Michael Bublé
Mother/Son Dance: “You Got It,” Roy Orbison
We had it set for the mothers and grandmothers to be seated to 1000 Years by Christina Perri, sung by my sister and brother-in-law. BUT it rained the whole ceremony! Haha so I actually got to walk down to an applause and we got to hear all the songs at the beginning of the reception.
