Moss-Filled Michigan Wedding
If you’re looking to get inspired by a wedding with a stunningly clean and green wedding palette, Agnes and Jeff’s Michigan wedding is it. Shot by MorningWild Photography, it’s got these whimsical and romantic details that had us wanting more and more. Rebecca from Ideal Events & Design sought to bring Agnes’s elegant woodland wedding ideas to life and it’s quite safe to say she achieved that goal along with Damsel Floral‘s unbelievably good centerpieces. Those glimmers of peach florals in the arrangements were the perfect touch of color!
From the planner, Rebecca from Ideal Events & Design: I was thrilled when Agnes reached out to me to work on her upcoming wedding to Jeff. As an art director, Agnes had a wonderful vision for their wedding day and I was thrilled to help bring her elegant woodland wedding to life. Agnes had already chosen a beautiful location, a private white barn at Bieker Farms, which is nestled between beautiful woodlands and an apple orchard, so we began working on securing the rest of her vendors and bringing together all of the elements of the day.
Of course the location was such a feature of the design for this wedding – Agnes wanted to highlight the woods that surrounded the property because she and Jeff often escape on weekends to family woodlands in Northern Michigan. Incorporating moss (collected from the family land) and ferns was a way to bring their life into the design elements. The bride and her friends spent a day creating the gorgeous moss covered sign to hang behind the bar and ferns were featured in the centerpieces by Damsel Floral. Agnes even created a fern logo to use throughout the wedding stationery.
As we began to build the day, it was always evident that Agnes and Jeff kept their guests at the forefront of their minds. They truly wanted everyone in attendance to feel part of their celebration – from ensuring polka music was played for her Polish family members to serving family style meals to encourage conversation – so many decisions focused on their family and friends. As the evening went on and the celebration lasted well into the night with late night pizzas and a sparkler send off for the newlyweds, I do believe their guests enjoyed every minute of it!
