Pure Magic in This Mauve and Mustard Lovestory
Okay candles, now let’s get in formation! Today’s shoot is all about a seasonal harvest abundant in romance and edge. Dip-dyed runners, mustard velvet napkins, delicate stemware and botanical plates were the key ingredients in this tablescape designed by Lindsay Dean Weddings. With this jaw-dropping start, we didn’t think it could get much better! But that’s before we gazed at the deep organic blooms, 3-tiered confection spilling with fresh fruit and rescue pony with an oddly perfect floral crown. You’ve just got to see for yourself in this gallery from Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Duo, and get ready to pin everything!
From the stylist, Lindsay Dean Weddings: I had the opportunity to work with an AMAZING team of vendors for this breathtaking and inspiring styled shoot. Our photographer, the INCREDIBLY talented Shayna with Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Duo shot all of the photos on her Contax 645 with Fuji FILM (scanned by PhotoVision).
We wanted to create a raw, romantic and edgy story with our photos and scenes and we named it “Harvest Romance”.
You’ll see the scene with our Bride in the Garden, wearing a BDHLN stunning velvet robe, seated upon a vintage, iron bench draped and surrounded by full, deep romantic florals. In this scene, we wanted to shoot our Bride having a moment alone, a rare and raw moment of reflection for the day ahead of her. The team and I felt that this was the “Mother of all Moments” and we may have cried over it a bit..
We brought in the edgy feel for this shoot with the deep florals, hand-dipped, and custom dyed muslin, hand painted and calligraphy paper products, wardrobe (velvet robe, velvet “GLAM” bridal slippers, bridal gown and cape, accessories and burgundy suiting color.
The romantic vibe was a given, I mean, how gorgeous is our Bride? The romantic style of hair and makeup, gorgeous BLUSH dress, Vintage Vignette scene, and the PONY! A story about the Pony… She is a rescue from a local Farm! She was a sweetheart and we were so honored to have her in our shoot.
Our custom cake, adorned with some gorgeous florals and organic seasonal fruits (berries, figs, rosemary, thyme) was gracefully SUSPENDED from the vintage, iron bench. It was a pretty fantastic scene and photographed beautifully!
Can we PLEASE talk about the tablescape? This was a major collaborative effort and the result was MORE than we could have hoped for. The table was draped with a simple, yet lush linen from La Tavola, draped with our custom, hand-dipped and dyed muslin runner which flowed in the wind like a beauty. Next we topped the table with some custom wood chargers, gold flatware, crystal glassware, Garden Plates, STUNNING MUSTARD napkins (we pretty much based our table around these beauties!) from La Tavola, custom tile place cards, custom wood centerpiece with installed tapered church candles, greenery, tucked blooms and accented with our Wood Garden Chairs. I mean. I cried when I saw this come to life. Honestly did.
