Constance Moofushi, Maldives
Get ready for a serious case of wanderlust, because today we’re recapping our stay in the Maldives. I can hardly believe it myself – Maldives. That atoll in the middle of the Indian Ocean that we all drool over on Pinterest. After visiting Sri Lanka (more here and here) with lots of culture and nature to see, we headed for the jaw-dropping Constance Moofushi in the Maldives.
Mr and Mrs Smith knocked it out of the park when they helped narrow down resorts for our stay in Maldives. There are so many ridiculously amazing resorts in the Maldives, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. The best hotels there are definitely a splurge, but if you pick carefully and go at the right time, you can get a tremendous value for a dream honeymoon. Plus with all the perks and goodies that booking through Mr and Mrs Smith will get you, there will be nothing for you to worry about but picking outfits to pack.
From fresh fruit to supplies, everything needs to be flown in to Maldives. We highly recommend getting an all-inclusive package like how we did at Constance Moofushi. The Cristal Package is a long list of inclusive items, which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails and snacks; and activities such as a Dhoni boat trip. This is hands down, the absolute best all-inclusive food we’ve ever had. The food is gourmet with an enormous selection to choose from, and the menu was different every day of the week. The dessert buffet alone is what dreams are made of!
What to do in Maldives
Maldives goes beyond than just being a dreamy screen saver with surreal beaches. If you’re into snorkeling and diving, Maldives is also known for its abundant and diverse marine life. Constance Moofushi is one of the best resorts for diving, which offers diving trips aplenty.
One of the highlights of our Maldives’ stay was swimming along whale sharks. These gentle giants swim up to surface to warm up after having their meals in deeper waters, so you can even spot them from the boat! We went early December and spotted several whale sharks that day, but you can spot year-round.

Another favorite was a daytrip to a sandbank, a teeny patch of sand in the middle of the ocean. An hour away from the resort by boat, you are invited to what it seems to be a real life, tropical version of Petit Prince-meets-Robinson Crusoe. The almost cartoon-like tiny island is such a surreal view, you need to go just for this. This daytrip is included if you have the all-inclusive Cristal Package, so it’s a no-brainer. Childcare at Constance Moofushi is equally outstanding if you have little ones.
Mr and Mrs Smith nailed this one. This is the type of resort that knows your name and your child’s name from arrival to departure, just to give you a tiny glimpse on what level of service they have. We have been dreaming of going back since!
Our last stop before going home is Dubai, which is coming next!
