Cheery Pastel Wedding with Ribbons, Whimsy, and Gelato Galore!
We’ve got some hearty love for this cheery Florida wedding, bursting with creative whimsy at every turn. Wood block escort cards suspended by soft pink ribbons? Check. Floating terrariums and candle votives behind the sweetheart table? Check. A gelato cart AND coffee bar for dessert? TRIPLE CHECK. It’s impossible not to fall in love with Kaylyn and Joey’s romantic + light-hearted day. After seeing the images below, we dare you to try.
It was evident from the get-go that these images from Jordan Weiland Photography would have our hearts. Hellooooo, we’re in detail shot Heaven!
And speaking of details, Ashton Events is the pro behind all the dreaminess you see here today – making our eyes dance with that overly abundant draping (and making our stomachs growl with that darling gelato cart). We’d roll our eyes in jealousy, but it’s too darn cute.
From the planner + designer, Ashton Events: Our groom, Joey, is a woodworker and his (now wife) Kalyn is as sweet as they come. The handcrafted wood elements and details, along with an incredibly kind bridal party, put this wedding down as a forever favorite in our books.
And these soft pink linens for cocktail hour? Kate Ryan Linens makes some fineeeee things.
The bridesmaids wore blush dresses and carried lush bouquets of large white + blush blooms that mirrored the arrangements in the reception, while the groomsmen opted for leather suspenders instead of a sports coat to keep a little cooler in the Florida springtime.
Nothin’ but loveliness in this artful conglomeration of pieces from Nuage Designs, Wish Vintage, A Chair Affair, Inc. and Treasury Rentals.
Gorgeous primping and pampering for these gals courtesy of A Cherished Bride.
Kalyn loves all things feminine! We had fun balancing her romantic style with Joey’s, a true-to-his-core masculine & practical aesthetic. We employed a soft and romantic color palette of white, cream, blush, and touches of sage green to complement the organic greenery found throughout the floral design.
So much sparkle in her gown from Brides of Florida! And check out those pretty anemones.
Joey MADE the Escort Display! We dreamed up the huge hanging trough of foliage so the table numbers could also serve as their favors. He executed it beautifully! Not only that, he also made each of the individual coasters, and Kalyn hand-lettered every guest’s name on them. It was such a sweet touch! It then transitioned into cake backdrop (love that velvet linen!).
Coffee and gelato carts from local shops as a late night treat for guests before ending with a sparkler send-off.
We also repurposed the ceremony arch. It became the backdrop for sweetheart table with hanging lanterns and terrariums that added floating florals above the table.
Obsessed like we are yet? Told ya so! If you like this style, then check out this whimsical farmhouse wedding with a similar aesthetic – can’t get enough of that sage green beauty!
