New York Picnic Wedding

Delia and Jeff’s wedding is jam packed with DIY. Along with lots of little handmade details, the rain and the stories they have to tell are really what makes this wedding so sweet. Shot by Boston photographer Channing Johnson, this woodsy New York wedding will have us pinning from end to end!

We had always envisioned people lounging around on blankets, playing cards and field games, dancing and frolicking, but we also wanted to balance the casual vibe with a sophisticated look.

Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Something will always go wrong – be prepared ahead of time to laugh it off! When things get tough, it’s so easy to forget the real reason you’re arranging those flowers, baking those cupcakes or packaging your favors. You’re getting MARRIED- and that’s an awesome thing on its own.

Delia also shared the ups and downs of having a DIY wedding, as well as all of her insights and lessons learned on her blog.
