Whimsical Backyard Wedding

Looking at Cathy’s smile beaming with glee warms up my heart, but that’s one just of the many reasons I fell in love with this wedding. Charming, heartfelt and fun, Cathy and Brent’s wedding is the whole package. And when Jonathan Ong is the photographer, I had no doubt in my mind the images would tell the story better than anyone else could put into words. This wedding is dripping with inspiration, so let’s get started:

From the bride, Cathy: We wanted it to be relaxed, filled with music and colour, and to have a ‘festival’ feel. We wanted lots of colour, based around a teal, pink, yellow theme. Details in twine and paper, with paper aeroplanes used throughout the decorations and stationery. Everything was DIY – the stationary (Brent and I), decorations (my sister, mum and I), wooden benches (made by my step-dad), food (catered by my step-aunt), music (friends), desserts (friends), wedding cake (my bridesmaid). It took a LOT of love and time from our families to make it look so amazing on the day!
