West Nyack Wedding Inspiration

The shift from warmer weather into cool breezes can sometimes be a difficult one, but when we see stylish shoots like this one from Reverie Supply and Josephine Florals & Events, well, the transition becomes just a bit easier. This duo took pink and purple hues to craft a styled session centered around bohemian flair, lush floral design, and the whimsical love between two lovers, and the result is purely magical.

From the event designer and stylist, Josephine of Josephine Florals & Events: Our vision was to create and capture a romantic yet whimsical fall wedding. Set in beautifully landscaped greens adorned with vintage furniture and elegant linens this shoot captured the romance while highlighting the endearing moments of a wedding day through bursts of wildflowers, pops of color and playful details. We were also inspired to include a foot washing ceremony to share intimate moments of the bride and groom. This shoot embodied fall colors of green, rich burgundy, ivory and gold with pops of reds and pinks to liven the floral arrangements & overall design. Fruit was incorporated to accentuate our colors and provide dimension. What a way to embrace the coming harvest! For florals, I chose a mixture of greens, wildflowers and berries for varied texture along with beautifully deep purple hanging Amaranthus for character. For our tablescape, everything seen on the tables and alters were thoughtfully orchestrated to create elegant and full table scapes. We incorporated many handmade/DIY details including the Mr. & Mrs. Chair signs, the potted succulents for seating, confetti bags, banners & champagne skewers for that touch of personalization.

From the photographer, Sally of Reverie Supply: Inspiration for this shoot really came from how beautiful our model’s smile was. She made you want to smile with her. Isn’t that the very definition of a bride? All the attention is given to the bride, as she glows, smiles and exudes beauty from the love within on her very special day! Each element of the shoot was made to convey a romantic, whimsical fall inspiration. Creating a playful yet romantic shoot was key for me. So, the deep reds, blackberry colors, rich purples, punches of green were all telling of a story.
