Urban Wedding at the Corson Building
“Vera Wang meets chicken coop!” How could one resist? Audra and Chris chose the Corson Building in Seattle for their wedding and designed their invitations and concept around the chicken coop that the venue has. And unique venues call for equally distinct gowns…so a Vera Wang number was in order. The wedding was dubbed “Big Dress / Small Wedding” due to the huge peach Vera Wang dress she wore (lovingly referred to as “the Wang”). Shot by Jenny Jimenez, this wedding is filled to the brim with handmade touches. Check out the photo gallery for the deets!
Sweet wedding at one of the most beautiful venues in Seattle, the Corson Building. Audra and Chris crafted most of their decor by hand. Audra painted the invitations to match the Corson Building & their chickens that live on site.
We had seedbombs as favors, customized for every region of the country their guests came from, and a taco bar at the end of the night.
I worked from the thing we were sure about– the venue– and so I was thinking about intimate urban gardens. We wanted it to feel personal and fun.
We had a very loose chicken theme, because the Corson Building has a chicken coop (and I like them.) Vera Wang meets chicken coop! Our colors were peachy-grapefruity and minty/aqua.
We had many DIY projects: save-the-date card and wedding invitations, dyed coffee filter garlands, watercolored heart garlands, ombre-dyed napkins, welcome bag stamps, seedbomb wedding favors, and our cake garlands and cake topper.
Audra’s advice for brides: Definitely be inspired by all the wonderful ideas in blogs and magazines, but keep it an honest reflection of who you and your groom really are and what you love. Not because it’s “your day,” but because it will make it meaningful for everyone.

This is beautiful, love the venue, the dress and the seed bomb favors for every guest!
I love every detail! Her gown is stunning and so is the color palette. Their stationary is fun and I love the unique guestbook! See…I do love it all 🙂
For Elisabeth: I bought mine on etsy from “Margaret and Walter.”
holy moley! that gown is to die for! gorgeous photography too!
I love the idea of a fabulous splurge dress and an otherwise sweet-‘n-simple party. After all, love and a fabulous dress is all a girl really needs, right? And shoes, I guess. Good shoes.
there are no more images; what a tease 🙁
thanks for catching that, it should be fixed!
I really REALLY love that dress. It’s so clean and modern but with an adorable whimisical feel.
