We’re All Smiles for this Toronto Distillery District Wedding
What do you get when you have happy blooms, market lights and a sheer embroidered open back gown in a Toronto Distillery District wedding? Total perfection! Chelsea and Michael’s relaxed industrial venue didn’t compromise on style, and trust us, you’ll want to bookmark every one of these frames. From the rustic chic reception with a floral chandelier to the groom’s joyous tears as his bride walked down the aisle, THIS is the way to start your week. Enjoy!
From the photographer, Magnolia Studios: Chelsea and Michael were married at Archeo in the Historic Distillery District in Toronto, which has an old loft factory feel with an outdoor courtyard for their ceremony space. They brought in bright, wildly colourful florals by Hunt and Gather to fill the space with lush red and pink blooms, giving a happy and uplifting ambiance. The decor even including a hanging floral installation above the head table. The table decor was accented by blue glass goblets and gold hurricane candle holders throughout. They had a sweet table with garlands of photos hanging behind their cake which included a photo of every guest who was there – they wanted to make sure they were all included in the wedding in some way!
If the words “floral chandelier” spark a fire in your heart, be sure to circle back to this lovely gem later on!
Chelsea and Michael spend most of their time in Toronto, a place they love, so they wanted to capture as much of the city as possible, and share it with their guests who a lot of them were in Toronto for the first time! We stopped by the historic flatiron building, St. James Cathedral, and finally finished off the shoot in the Distillery District to meet their guests. You will even find an old streetcar in their photos! Their ceremony was held outside in the courtyard at sunset which kicked off the evening’s celebrations. The day was seamlessly planned by Blue Lavender Events
