Stephanie and Frankie’s modern Texas wedding is as sweet as it is striking. With painterly details throughout and deep mauve hues enhanced by geo-gold lines, you’d never believe the industrial warehouse venue started as a blank slate before Query Events got in there. We can’t get enough of the lush flower pillar installations that framed the ceremony space (and later the cake table), and we know you’re gonna love these photos from the impeccable Stephanie Brazzle.

From the bride, Stephanie: Frankie and I are your classic high school sweethearts, but there was nothing classic about the way we envisioned our long awaited wedding day. From the beginning of our engagement, we knew we wanted our event to have modern flare and feel beautifully intimate. Our planning process began the moment I found miracle worker Ambra Costner-Portillo, owner of Query Events. I was utterly captivated by her exquisite floral designs and brilliantly fresh ideas. Together, we constructed the concept of a romantic Sunday brunch wedding in an industrial warehouse setting, adorned with mauve and berry toned florals, striking metallic accents, and lush organic greenery. Frankie and I were also keen on ensuring our wedding flourished with personal touches that accentuated our journey as a couple. We were determined to have our guests literally feel the love radiating not just from us, but from every carefully thought-out detail within our venue. Thanks to the Query Events team and all of our incredible vendors, our vision came to life in the most wonderful way!

Our day began with a First Look shot by our incredible photographer Stephanie Brazzle. We originally arranged to shoot it outdoors, but a few early morning showers changed those plans pretty quickly. However, having our First Look indoors created photos more stunning than we could’ve ever imagined and we will forever cherish having that private moment together before the craziness of the day began. We are also so grateful for Stephanie B’s ability to adapt and create artistic magic out of any situation!

In order to continue with the theme of intimate romance, we stood up at the altar with only our officiant by our sides. Having the bridal party take their seats after walking down the aisle made our ceremony much more personal. We also handwrote our own vows in booklets and together we DIY splatter painted the covers, his paint black and mine rose gold, the colors joining together to symbolize our union. The combination of writing our own vows and having my childhood pastor officiate, filled the room with rich laughter and joyful tears.

The celebration of our special day continued with heaps of adorably whimsical details that represented our personalities perfectly. Following our ceremony, we held a Coffee and Kolache hour, instead of the traditional cocktail hour, and served delicious brunchy snacks alongside a coffee and juice bar. Ambra also created an “Us Table” which displayed our love letters, photos, and other sweet mementos from our five years together. Our reception featured a fun lunch atmosphere with long family-style tables and delicious burger sliders, chicken sandwiches, and build your own fajitas from Breadwinners Catering. Loft22 Cakes left everyone salivating with the most savory and stunning rose gold accented cake brimmed with strawberry filling. Le Force Entertainment provided a fantastic DJ that had our loved one packed on the dance floor. The reception décor was breathtaking. Query Events worked alongside Cleggraphy Designs to create a dazzling escort card display, custom name cards that our guests absolutely loved, and my favorite – a beautiful banner displaying the word “Infinitely” above our cake table, another personal touch from our relationship. And of course, Ambra’s jaw-dropping florals and accents! She created the most enchanting organic arch for the ceremony and cake table, which looked mesmerizing against The Filter Building’s industrial brick walls. She also DIY’d a gorgeous berry toned dip-dyed backdrop adorned with subtle greenery, placed right behind our head table. And thanks to Stephanie Brazzle’s spectacular talent, all of these precious moments will live on for eternity.

Above all, our wedding day was just that – ours. Every detail, every second, was infused with the essence of our love for one another. And although perfection on your wedding day is impossible, it was the unplanned spontaneous moments that made May 21st truly spectacular.
