Texas Backyard Wedding Ideas
Oh Maxit Flower Design, what you can do with flowers brings happy tears to our eyes. One look at the careful but relaxed blend of fuchsia, light pink, and peach blooms in this styled shoot, and we were completely smitten. Jackie Ray Photography worked her wonders behind the camera, providing us with this gorgeous eye candy!
From the photographer, Jackie Ray Photography: Part of the styled shoot was inspired by a past bride and groom of mine. Their wedding was amazing, but their bride and groom portraits got rained out! So I contacted them and invited them to be our models for this styled shoot. Our location was at The Prairie by Rachel Ashwell, which was also the inspiration. We combined the natural and eclectic feel of shabby chic with the brides blush princess styled dress and groom’s classic tux. I loved to juxtapose these two styles because the formal attire balances with the weathered and natural elements of shabby chic.
Our detail inspirations were rose gold metallic, grey, whites, and creams, with a pop of a strong raspberry color. We gold leafed objects and used gold to accentuate the “formal” aspect of the shoot. The same rang true with the floral. Maria used leaves from her own garden coupled with peonies to create the formal combined with natural and eclectic. The cake is a white simple cake with a slight ribbed texture. There are small cracks in the icing to create that weathered effect. I loved the natural wooden candle holders! They really bring an earthy aspect to the tablescape.

There is so much to adore about these pictures, especially the simplicity of the settings. Her hairpiece, the greenhouse, the pears as name cards are all refreshing and elegant. I love the combination of rustic wood with the metal walls, too.
Very whimsical .. love it! oxox
Fantastic wedding idea…
