Summer Destination Wedding in Cape Town
Today’s couple decided to travel from their home in Texas to South Africa for a destination wedding to remember. Debbie Lourens Photography and A Little Thing Called helped Nicole and Jadeon bring their visions to life, which included a breezy garden style and a couple of extra special guests!
From the bride, Nicole: We had a summer wedding in the vineyards in a valley with mountain views. We were looking for a romantic garden wedding style that was not too over the top but still made a statement. Our colors were supposed to be soft pink, white, gold and burgundy, but the florist added her own style and a few extra colors which came out wonderfully.
Flower recipe: I’m not quite sure on all the florals, but the florist used a lot of wildflowers like bougainvillea, tulips, snapdragons and eucalyptus.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Enjoy the planning process whether it’s with your fiance, bridesmaids, mothers/mothers in law, if you think it will be too much stress for you to plan the wedding, hire an event planner that can help you out! I wish I would have especially for an overseas wedding.
Wedding Music:
We played a variety of songs, lots of fun songs you can dance too, like Tina Turner, some Spanish influenced songs, Mathew Mole, Angus and Julia Stone, etc. My processional song was a french instrumental song by Yann Tiersen, “Comptine D’un Autre été L’après-midi.”
Awesome pics of summer destination wedding, nice planning ideas. It’s really inspiring for all wedding planners & photographers. Thanks to the couple from Weddingplz for deciding this wonderful destination wedding in cape town.
