The weekend is over. Spring is here. And today, we’ve only got eyes for this indoor avant-garde wedding inspiration with breezy fabrics, waxy blooms and bright tart desserts dusted with gold flakes. Seriously, would you believe this is downtown LA? Captured at our Styled Social Los Angeles, this colorfully chic affair proves that modern doesn’t just mean black + white and monochromatic all over.
Bringing soft, organic colors with cheery pops of tangerine to the abstract city space, Jason Lloyd wows us with his mad floral skills and modern design aesthetic. Does it get more whimsically refined than this?
And boy, do we love the way Our Story Creative captures the juxtapositions of design in every frame… Gentle, delicate tulle against crisp, rust-colored wool. Pressed colorful petals against sharp acrylic shapes. Wild, wispy branches before monochromatic blocks.
You can’t expect us to stay calm after seeing this paper goods suite from Bourne Paper Co. , complete with cutting edge invites in a floating frame, vintage blue stamps and modern typography that would certainly land the most prominent space on our fridge.
You may have seen Gothic-style theatre at the ACE Hotel Downtown LA before, but this open space with floor-to-ceiling windows and abstract artwork is equally as mesmerizing. A little bluebird tells us they’ve just re-vamped their wedding collection too – y’all best go take a peek!
Now let’s talk about this breathtaking off-the-shoulder wedding dress from CocoMelody. This A-line tulle ballgown is draped in fine lace and a dusty blue tint, but the real cherry on top? Those eye-catching flutter sleeves!
We love the way the balance of hot + cold colors extend from the invites to the table to the fashion, particularly with this dapper suit from Stitch & Tie. Their site is paradise for anyone who loves the whole mix + match vibe. Of course, all their suits are perfection from the classic single color looks to the more colorful ensembles like we opted for here. Dusty pink jacket and burgundy trousers for the win!
Ghost chairs from La Piñata Party Rentals brought a touch of Heaven to the scene and pair exquisitely with those modern lucite candlesticks scattered down the table.
If you love the blooms in this one, be sure to check out this bloom-forward wedding inspiration when you have a chance!
Now this is the kind of blue even that even Andy Sachs would take notice of (though who wouldn’t want a viciously fierce diatribe from Meryl Strep?) Tabletop goodies courtesy of Borrowed Blu are filling us with wonderment left and right.
The structured bridal hair by Jenna Locke has volume we’re seriously envious of, and we’re addicted to the sexy makeup look provided by Chelsea Joy – like… I need the name for that metallic glitter eyeshadow asap please!
I know you’ve been wondering about these metallically embellished treats! You can thank Taryn DeYarman, the Pastry Chef Haute Chef’s LA , for this tabletop eye candy, as well as the anthurium crowned wedding cake!
We’re gearing up for our next Styled Socials where wedding photographers will have the opportunity to shoot a full-scale editorial like this one, produced by us and designed by a team of handpicked local vendors. We’d love to see you there!
