Sarasota Romantic Fall Wedding
This is one of those weddings that blew us away the second it landed in our inbox. Its beauty is so hopelessly romantic and sweet, that you’ll fall in love even if you aren’t a girly girl at heart. After all, this fashionista-gone-fairytale wedding shot by Jessica Lorren Organic Photography is sure to leave a girl day dreaming. Be double sure to check out all images in the photo gallery.
The Ringling Museum’s Ca’d’Zan has been my favorite place since I was a little girl. It is a 1920’s mansion located on the bay of Sarasota, Florida. I have always dreamed of one day getting married there. I didn’t think it was a possibility since you need to book so far in advance. When Billy proposed to me he told me that he and my family had been keeping a secret from me. They had booked October 8th, 2011 at the Ca’d’Zan!
The Ca’d’Zan Mansion was the main source of my inspiration. The colors of the building are the most gorgeous soft neutrals. I asked my bridesmaids to find dresses in a warm mustard, ivory, or blush. Their style is impeccable so I knew their dresses would all flow together nicely. One of my bridesmaids is an extremely talented designer, Camilyn Beth. She made my mother’s, my matron of honor and her bridesmaid dresses. I am a graphic designer and with the help of one my bridesmaid’s, Shannon Kirsten, we created the suite of paper products with the color palette in mind.
We wanted to honor our family members in all of the details. My beautiful diamond was given to Billy by my Grandmother. I walked down the aisle with her prayer book just as she had 70 years ago. She also made my lace garter. Billy’s ring has the same inscription that my grandparents had in their rings, “God has made thee mine.” My other grandmother gave me her handkerchief. My parents offered the wedding vows that they had given to each other, which Billy and I loved also. Our florist was a longtime family friend that did the flowers for my parent’s wedding also. My mom and I had been collecting milk glass for quite some time and the flowers made my vision come to life.
We were intent on making this an intimate, God honoring celebration. As you can see our photographer and friend, Jessica Lorren Organic Photography, captured it so well. I enjoyed every moment of it. We had the greatest day of our lives. I couldn’t possibly be happier.

Absolutely love the colours of the wedding! I will defintiely show this to the brides from our wedding registry. Thanks heaps!
I live in Sarasota, too, and I have always wanted to get married at the Ca’d’Zan Mansion! Your wedding is beautiful and is an inspiration to me~
You didn’t include the most gorgeous wedding photo from their wedding-it was the first look. The groom started to cry. It was so incredibly sweet. I’ve been following the blog of Sarah Tucker, who was her matron of honor + event planner-it’s pretty great!
