Emerald and Pink Wedding Ideas
Every single detail of this styled shoot — and there are plenty of them — has me completely swooning. From the color palette of green, pink, and gold to the various garlands and geometric details, each element is utter perfection. Make sure you don’t miss any of the photos from Lauren Peele Photography, or the incredible floral arrangements by Kate Foley Designs!
From the photographer, Lauren Peele: I wanted this shoot to have a funky modern vibe to it, so for the tablescape I incorporated glittery animal name card holders that held geometric shaped name cards with emerald lettering. I love mixing textures, so I went with a gorgeous emerald velvet table cloth, a sequin runner, and pink/gold foil dot napkins. I mixed different colored copper and gold cups on the tables that held sparkly geometric swizzle sticks.
My florist, Kate Foley Designs, did an amazing job with the flowers. She hand painted gold tips on the succulents, and glazed some of them in glitter as well. She used bright pinks which really popped against the white backdrop and the brides dress. We wrapped the boutonnière and bouquet with sequin ribbons, because you can never have enough sparkle right? My paper vendor created a die cut, hand painted number for the table. I love how fun it is, yet still formal enough for a real wedding.
My goal for this shoot was to inspire real brides, so I was sure to include lots of DIY details, and the table runner was one of them. I found amazing sequin fabric online, and “sewed” it together using witchery stitchery. It was impossible to see the seam, and ended up looking very high end and expensive. The whole project was under $30; you can’t beat that!
I’m obsessed with marquee signs right now, so I knew I had to have one. They can be pricey, and I didn’t want to spend a fortune, so I went to a local flea market where I found a giant metal arrow, and I was able to talk them down to almost nothing. I recruited my hubby to drill holes around the edges for me, and I placed large round bulbs in the holes. The project was so easy, and the arrow really makes a big impact.
