Cozy Portland Wedding Inspiration
As soon as we saw this wedding shoot from emily g photography, we knew that “cozy” was the perfect way to describe it. From the bride’s snuggly sweater to her berry and succulent-stuffed bouquet to the rustic indoor reception, this is as relaxed chic as it gets!
From the photographer, Emily: We are so excited to share our collaboration with you all. In these cold winter months we were inspired by warmth, texture, earth and greenery. Our group set out to create a truly northwest shoot. We wanted to recycle every day objects and show their beautiful potential. We also wanted create something new in a classic Oregon venue.
All of the vendors involved pride our selves on doing our part to recycle, reuse and be low impact on the earth, so the World Forestry Center in Portland was a perfect venue for our shoot. We ended up shooting on a misty NW day, and it set the tone perfectly. The low fog and cooler temperatures made for a dynamic setting outside and the inside portion all the more cozy. We set out to show what a cozy and creative winter wedding in Oregon could look like, and we are so proud of the results!

In love with this shoot! I love how they filled the light bulbs. You were right; cozy is the perfect word to describes these photos! Such a perfect Friday treat 🙂
One of my favourite things is how they used the old windows in so many creative ways. Definitely inspired 🙂
Thank you so much for featuring all of our work! This was so much fun to be a part of! Amazing team of professionals!!
Totally, absolutely, WONDERFULLY my style! I love her sweater and her boots ROCK! I know my office manager has been looking for a pair of boots PRECISELY like that! She’s going to be so jealous when she sees this!
I love how her sash ties in the earth tones. A sash can be such a stark contrast (which can be a good thing, but not always) but in this case, it’s a beautiful tie-in (hardy-har-har, lol) with that oatmeal coat and the boots and foggy fall colors! Lovely!
PS: THANK YOU SO MUCH for actually writing the year correctly on your wedding invitation! That drives me CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Many thanks for featuring our shoot! We all had way too much fun pulling it all together. And thank you, Emily Heizer for your comment about the invitations! 🙂
Love the berries and cotton in the bouquet! They captured the warmth and texture perfectly!
This wedding is BEAUTIFUL. I love everything about it. The photographer did such a wonderful job catch the atmosphere.
LOVE all the details of that wedding soooo pretty!

Some epic photography!
I love that she got married in a cardigain and her hair is just gorgeous. What a pretty wedding 🙂
I LOVE this wedding–the simplicity, the coziness, the peacefulness. On a more particular note, though, I plan on having a chilly wedding myself and I am DYING to know where she got her sweater. Is it handmade?
What a great photography here. We want more beautiful photos!!
