Paris Honeymoon Guide: Palais Royal
Hello beauties, Ashley here! I recently had the pleasure of taking a 10-day vacation in Europe, and half of those days were spent in Paris, France with the help of Small Luxury Hotels. Thanks to SLH, my first couple of nights in Paris were spent in the incomparable Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal. Mere feet away from the famous Palais Royal and the Louvre, I was in a prime spot to discover some of the 1st arrondissement’s best offerings.
In case you aren’t familiar, Small Luxury Hotels is a site that helps you find the perfect luxury boutique hotel for your trip from a selection of 520 small hotels over 80 countries around the world. Each hotel is held to the highest of standards, offering both luxury accommodations and truly unique style. Not only that, but SLH is always looking out for incredible upgrades for you (and offers one complimentary night on bookings of three nights or more at participating hotels), making sure you get the best out of your stay!
Words can’t even describe the hotel room, which boasted three separate rooms each with their own window or doors that opened up onto a breathtaking view of the city. While we spent plenty of time hopping around the city, we made sure to take in as much of the skyline as we could from our room. The chic bar has an impressive array of custom cocktails, and while we didn’t have time to take a steam, we just had to sneak a peek at the beautiful hammam, its mosaic walls, and the twinkly lights in the ceiling.
One of my favorite things about Paris is how incredibly walkable it is. We only needed to grab an Uber twice, but otherwise we were able to spread out all of our must-see spots over the five days and walk to each and every location with ease. Also, I’ll always love how you can turn an eye down any alley and be met with the most incredible buildings and cobblestone streets! Each shop, restaurant, and apartment is a treat for the eye.
For the next Paris installment I’ll be talking about my time in Le Marais, and then we’ll be skipping over to Italy for my trip to Lake Como!
