New Zealand Bay Wedding
Today’s wedding features a bride who followed her heart completely while planning her wedding day with her beau, Mark. With a love of all things bohemian and vintage, she blended the two aesthetics seamlessly into a beautiful day full of yellow polka dot bridesmaids’ dresses, fun hair accessories, and stellar floral arrangements, all captured brilliantly by Brad Boniface.
From the bride, Megan: I love so many different styles and ideas so I couldn’t choose one theme for the wedding so it was boho/vintage mixed. Why not both?! Mark really complements me on this. When I couldn’t choose an engagement ring (because I love so many different designs) he stole five pictures of rings I loved and had one incorporating elements from each into one beautiful ring with no input from me.
I was so happy to find my dress designer. I had become dispondent with dress shopping and gave up. They were all gowns, or all pricey! I was not too fussed on a style I just did not want it structured or boned and I wanted a comfortable dress that I could wear forever rather than a gown. Megan at Graceloveslace was literally too good to be true. A friend gave me her website, and I looked at the prices, and then the fabrics and literally left it thinking “this is too good to be true”, it wasn’t.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Use color! At one point, I freaked out thinking I had no stylist and all these colors going on, but when you let go of all that it just about the excitement and the fun and the joy and the moment, not about the color scheme or if the details are right then… you really really really have a good time!

What a cool bride. I love her spunk and free spirit.
Such a gorgeous and unique wedding – I especially like the spotty bridesmaids dresses! 😀
I love the colors and the bridesmaids dresses! The pictures are wonderful! Beautiful wedding.
The flower crown and the veil are gorgeous!
I loved the style of your wedding. I’ve been looking for polka dot dresses for my girls, and I am in LOVE the ones you chose. PLEASE tell me who designed these dresses! 😉
