Irish Botanical Wedding Ideas
Not that I really need more reasons to be obsessed with all things Irish, but this styled shoot sent over by Paula O’Hara is doing its part to make me fall more in love with the lush country. Paula partnered up with Ciara O’Halloran and The Flower Factory to put together this vintage glam shoot with not one but EIGHT beautiful gowns, all of which suit the early 1920s vibe to a T.
From the photographer, Paula O’Hara: Inspired by Edwardian elegance and the beautiful drama of the Ballyfin Estate, in County Laois Ireland, comes this botanical-themed shoot. It was styled and created for Irish bridal magazine – Confetti. Ballyfin is steeped in history and recently restored to it’s full glory. It was the perfect setting for this 1920’s/early 20th century style. There were 8 beautiful gowns and accessories from designers such as Claire Pettibone, Jenny Packham, Patrick Casey and La Sposa. Tablescapes, florals and stationery were created to suit in a palette of greens, buttery yellows and warm greys and silvers. The stationery was painted to resemble the Edwardian botanical prints and periodicals. We had a dream team of Irish creatives working on this and it was wonderful to see it all come together. We even had Irish rain for that dewy soft Irish light.

Thanks so much for featuring our shoot, it was a dream to style! The backless dress is by an Irish designer Patrick Casey!
Amazing! I really like the dreamy style of these photos… and it took me a few seconds to notice that the bride with the long dress was actually standing on a chair… Inspiring work!
The picture of the bride on the white chair I like most.
