This Mystical Wedding Inspiration is a Bewitching Take on Modern
Double, double, toil and trouble. Something is brewing in today’s mystical wedding inspiration, and it looks a lot like magic. This cutting-edge team of Los Angeles creatives gives us every reason to smile as they combine ethereal beauty with modern whimsy in a berry and beige color palette we never knew we needed. This playful editorial gives modern nods to past eras in all the right places, and we can’t wait for you to see more.
A brainchild of Ruffled member and Los Angeles event planner, Weddings By Sabrina, we fell pretty hard for these candlelit, crystalline views. Can you blame us? Sabrina has a knack for the unique, and it shouldn’t surprise you that she owns her own DJ biz too!
If ever Halloween called for a haunting, yet romantically modern ambiance, it would look just like this one captured by For The Love of It.
This bride’s flirty fringed hairstyle is complemented by softness and texture in the gowns from Alexandra Grecco and Rue de Seine.
Historic York Manor played host to this delicious scene, and my are we glad they did.
Sibyl Sophia pushes the envelope on wedding backdrops with an arched crystal structure incorporating hazy violet quartz to form a perfect crescent moon.
Smoky gray glasses from Borrowed Blu are just what the doctor ordered here.
None other than A Fabulous Fete is responsible for these darling invites with modern brush calligraphy. Black + white never looked so good!
And can you believe how iridescent her makeup from Veiled Vanity is?! We’re signing up for a beauty sesh immediately.
From the stylist, Weddings By Sabrina: I designed this shoot as inspiration for the modern couple looking to add a mystic feel to their wedding day. This overall style is inspired by the New Age movement of the 70s, the 90s supernatural horror film “The Craft,” and today’s “Silver Lake Shaman” lifestyle.
In order to create an alternative “witchy” feel, I wanted to feature a > variety of shapes and textures. In lieu of a traditional ceremony arch, Sibyl Sophia created an amethyst crystal installation for the altar. The Rosé dining chairs by Collective Rentals have this unique round top similar to a talisman.
The Tiger Moss gown by Rue de Seine is pure magic with its silver beads on sheer fabric. The bride’s makeup is inspired by outer space. We aimed to create an “other world” feel, something a bit out there and non-traditional but still beautiful for a wedding.
