Romantically Chic Riverside Wedding with Burgundy and Cafe Au Lait Hues
There’s just something about a riverside wedding in late summer. Maybe it’s the romantic draping that blows in the wind, the voluminous buds in their prime of life, or the sound of gentle waves lapping against sailboats. Whatever it is, we beg for more of it! One look at Kelsey and Matt’s wedding will have you filled with pure joy, so put on some Frank Sinatra and kick back to view this whole inspiring shindig.
Pennsylvania wedding photographer Emily Wren has us reeling with these fresh images teeming inspiration – from the plush velvet sweetheart sofa to the wedding day giggles, she sure doesn’t miss a thing.
Faye & Renee engage us with their artful tangle of blooms in hues ranging from tender dusty rose to deep bordeaux.
Kelsey rocked a loosely braided updo from True Beauty Marks that harks back to an era long past. This look will never go out of style!
Planned by Clover Event Co., we’re a little green with envy over how they dressed up the historic space. Can we live in such beauty please?
And wow, this Sarah Seven with an intricate bodice and v-cut side panels has us in a fashion frenzy!
From the photographer, Emily Wren Photography: Glen Foerd is forever and always one of our favorite wedding venues here at Emily Wren Photography. The quintessential Delaware riverside estate is imbued with a historic charm that creates an environment of effortless romance! In July, we had the pleasure of photographing Kelsey & Matt’s gorgeous wedding at this dreamy locale. Every aspect of the day came together naturally and seemed to flow with a delightful elegance. But the one thing that shone brightest throughout the day was the bride herself– Kelsey moved through the day with a beautiful calm, graceful in every interaction, and truly gave light to the day with her radiant smile. Her joy was so intoxicating we found ourselves beaming right along with her!
The couple chose a palette of crisp navy, bold burgundy, and soft shades of blush and cafe au lait for their day. The combination created an atmosphere that was romantic and serene with an elegant but sultry edge. Kelsey looked exquisite in her seriously sleek Sarah Seven gown, and the dress stood out in a spectacular fashion next to her bridesmaids floor-length burgundy and blush gowns. Matt and his gents were ever so handsome in their brilliant navy suits with sharp ties that matched the ladies’ dresses.
PSA: If burgundy is a color you love, then this fall wedding is another one you won’t want to miss!
Faye & Renee filled the venue with arrangements of crimson and wine colored blooms which they softened with pale pinks and whites. Clover Event Co. provided a chic touch with custom, gold-embossed cocktail napkins that perfectly complemented the gold finishing decor. Every element of the day was sophisticated, refined, and simply lovely!
