Modern Palm Springs Wedding
At this point, it’s almost a set-in-stone fact — you can’t beat a wedding at Ace Hotel Palm Springs. Actually, you really can’t beat a wedding at The Ace with a team of vendors including The Melideos, Beau & Arrow Events, and Root75. Just wait until you see the seating chart, the floral arrangements, the crocheted details by the bride, and the general perfection of this wedding day!
From the bride, Rachel: We were going for a intimate dinner party with our closest family and friends. We loved the Ace Hotel’s vibe in Palm Springs and overall aesthetic, so it definitely helped make that vision come true in the Commune venue, set next to a pool with glass garage like doors, and the mountains hanging high above us. Although it ended up with a few more folks than we envisioned, just over 100, it definitely felt like an intimate dinner party in our backyard with family style serving, bistro lights, and an light breeze in the air. We worked closely with Beau and Arrow events from San Diego to come up with the perfect overall feel for the room. We landed on the perfect indigo/rust/desert natural color scheme, and decorated the room with vintage rentals from Yeah Rentals and other pieces we picked up at the Pasadena Rose Bowl Flea. To finish it off the lovely ladies from Root75 gave us the unique and perfectly curated arrangements for each table. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding to reflect my husband and I design aesthetic.
Desert oasis, all natural both in the decoration and ease in the night’s progression. We used a Moroccan color scheme – indigo, rust, and natural desert hues. I crocheted all the kippahs (for all the men at the wedding) for the ceremony as well as my husbands kippah, sewed all the napkins for the dinner so that we could give them out to friends/family and souvenirs with the thank you notes, made all the candle (sage scented soy wax) favors for the guests to take at the end of the night with personalized labels, Mexican mercado welcome bags with pellegrino, larabars, personalized matches, tangerines, and other snacks, and personalized a sign in book with our initials.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Enjoy the process and don’t think too much about the choices you make. Its all about the two of you and that’s all the matters. The best part in the night was thinking about how amazing it was to have all these people around us, and to feel the love that Joel and I have for each other radiate throughout the room.
