Modern Day Juliet Wedding Inspiration
Autumn is only two days away, and we think there’s no better time to share this inspiration shoot with its pops of marsala than right now! Marsala has been quite the hit this year since it was announced as Pantone’s color of 2015, and we think it’s going to experience its best success in gorgeous wedding landscapes for fall — in fact, this shoot from Jennifer Sosa Photography, Pursue Love Design Co., and Milieu Florals proves it!
From the event designer, Caroline of Pursue Love Design Co.: Inspired by the beauty of imperfect vintage rusted iron rod doors, chippy paint and patina, we created vignettes of a modern day Juliet in an intimate setting of a gated vintage secret garden. In creating the color palette for this shoot, the colors are romantic, moody and dramatic, bringing attention to the graceful presence of our modern day Juliet and her quiet meditation prior to her wedding day. When designing this shoot, I found inspiration from the colors of aging, imperfect, chipping vintage pieces and metals and mixed them with eclectic textures and a color palette of marsala with pops of color.
The beauty and essence of this shoot was captured beautifully by the talented Jennifer Sosa Photography, who truly created vignettes of drama and romance with movement and light. Hannah Koo of Milieu Florals crafted uniquely curated floral pieces to bring our vintage secret garden altar and tablescape to life. Calligraphy pieces were gorgeously handwritten in elegant fonts in marsala by Alley & Co. Lastly, our modern day Juliet was dressed in dreamy, ethereal bridal dresses by Saja Wedding, adorned with gorgeous headpieces by Untamed Petals and beautifully styled in 2 dramatic and stunning hair and makeup looks by the ladies of E2beauty.
