Leaves of Grass Wedding Inspiration
Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass was always a source of inspiration for me, so I’m extra excited to bring you all today’s styled shoot from Jason Hales Photography, Bowman & Clark, and Alabaster & Ivory Events. Inspired by the wordsmith’s book of poetry, it brings together classic beauty and organic garden wedding ideas for a shoot that’s making us fall in love with the written word all over again.
From Allie Webber, Co-Owner of Bowman & Clark: We loved getting to design for this unique mixture of soft, garden inspired florals and more structured 19th century details. The arbor structure was covered in greenery and potted and hanging plants created a garden oasis. Wild arrangements, soft fabrics and pillows helped bring in the boho vibe. While the dark 19th century furniture and candlesticks brought depth and warmth into the space. The bride looked effortless in a gorgeous Winifred Bean gown, with her hair pulled back easily, and her makeup creating a natural glowing complexion. We loved the contrasting details and natural feel of this shoot and hope that it inspires a beautiful garden, boho, or 19th Century design.
Ah! I LOVE the way these images turned out! Such great vendors! It was an honor to be the model with all of the talent that surrounded me!

Very pretty, and beautifully styled. The dress has a real Grecian goddess feel.
