Intimate Maui Wedding with an Orchid Flower Canopy
Dear Hawaii, who gave you the right to be such a beautiful wedding destination?! We’re always left starstruck by nuptials at this converted sugar mill. Take stock of our recent destination elopement feature with frosted decor and glamorous gold accents to see what we mean. But in today’s intimate Maui wedding, a crystal chandelier and sweeping orchid strands take center stage with equally luxe statements from the couple themselves.
Destination wedding photographer, Melia Lucida, is no stranger to this island. She’s based in Hawaii herself, and it certainly shows in the effortless beauty of Breena and Michael’s photos.
Coordinated by Tara Murphy of Elements Luxury Events, dramatic draping reigned supreme in this hidden garden oasis.
Teresa Sena is leaving us speechless with the suspended flowers across the decor, but also in this pastel bouquet of native blooms!
The bold hair + makeup from Meili Autumn Beauty complements Breena’s natural beauty, and we are living for her wavy half up, half down hairstyle.
From the photographer, Melia Lucida: This was a tiny but luxurious destination wedding for ten guests hosted at Haiku Mill. The couple hosted their family at the historic Haiku Mill, a historic sugar mill structure turned beautiful garden estate located on Maui’s lush north shore. They enjoyed live music, signature drinks before dinner and Polynesian fire dancing under the crystals and orchids cascading from the ceiling of the mill.
10/10 would recommend this artful brush calligraphy from Sara V Calligraphy!
Wow, are our mouths watering over this caramel drip cake from Sugar Beach Events! Ending on a high note, am I right?

Yes, it’s the vertical orchid and bead strings that add a beautiful(magical) effect above them.
