Industrial Meets Earthy Wedding Inspiration

It’s so much fun to blend styles and design concepts for wedding editorials, and here we have another beauty to share from the lens of Gray Door Photography. It’s got equal parts modern and industrial mixed with the right amount of organic elements, and these ideas work so effortlessly together. We’re squealing over how Rustic Roots Design created the ideal arrangements for this styled shoot and put the emphasis on the foliage, allowing those dreamy, lavender and blush colored roses to peek through and add some romance. This indoors-meets-outdoors inspiration is so mesmerizing!

From the photographer, Gray Door Photography: Providence, Rhode Island is known for the historic preservation of its mill buildings. With a team of local entrepreneur vendors working to bring our vision to life, this white-washed mill felt like the perfect place to bring earthy and industrial together. Our inspiration grew from our team’s fondness of intimate, thoughtful weddings, playful yet romantic details, and a serious love of texture. This shoot is for the bohemian bride who values those same things – down to the very last detail.

The watercolor invitation suite was hand torn, painted, and lettered. The headpieces, sash, and garter were all handmade to complement our gorgeous silk chiffon, organic cotton gown, which was also made here in America. Each piece of furniture is vintage or antique restored to preserve its beauty and character. Even the donuts in our pretty little donut tower were hand crafted by a local donut shop! The floral elements (composed of a variety of thistles, blackberry branches, bay leaf branches, queen anne’s lace, ranunculus, smoke bush, olive branches, succulents, and a few other blooms) were perfectly overgrown, bringing the outdoors in. We believe your wedding should reflect you and your love.
