Hawaiian Holiday Inspiration Shoot
We’re starting our roll into the winter season, which means Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is on repeat in my iTunes these days. Add our favorite season with one of the best places on earth, and this styled shoot is brought to fruition by Opihi Love and Tamiz Photography. A holiday shoot with bohemian styling from Hawaii? Say no more, I’m officially sold!
From the stylist, Melissa of Opihi Love: Hawaii is such a little slice of heaven on earth — beaches, sand, sunsets, we have it all! It’s when you find hidden gems like a Eucalyptus Forest, and fields of protea, you realize just what Maui has to offer. Although our leaves don’t change color, on the side of Haleakala Crater in upcountry Maui we created our luxe version of a Holiday Photo Shoot. Inspired by beautiful fabrics, warming colors and nod to nature, Tamiz Photography captured the shoot as if we were high in the mountains of Oregon.
A picture perfect sunset with scrumptious pies from Mana Foods, Paia — the setting was perfect for our beautiful couple. Our dessert table was inspired by fall fruits and vegetables, and was elegantly labeled with Miss B Calligraphy. Creating a pie dessert table with a spice selection allows for customization of pie slices by all wedding guests.
Utilizing our surroundings the shoots flowers designed and created by Opihi Love Boutique Rentals & Event Design brought in eucalyptus, protea, kale, and pussy willows. Deep reds, greens, and purples were our feature colors. It’s such a breath taking moment when the sun is setting perfectly, the bride is stunning, and the setting provides you with one-of-a-kind photographs. This is what Maui gave us for this styled shoot.

I absolutely love this shoot! This “hawaii-boho” style would be such a blast to do here on the Big Island too! Thanks for sharing!
Really pretty! I love the pinecones in combination with the flowers and the whole colour scheme.
Ok usually I am not a big fan of this sort of color scheme, but the shoot is absolutely beautiful, except for one minor thing. . . I am only saying this since it is a styled shoot and not a real bride’s wedding, but that dress is aweful! Not so much because of the styling, but because it is incredibly ill fitting. The bust should have been taken in a bit. I don’t like the weird gapping gathering thing that is going on, and it isn’t happening in such a way that looks “accidently on purpose” but in a bought a dress and was to cheap to pay for a good tailor sort of way.
A romantic date+ a fabulous decor= a photo session that let me speechless!
Beautiful styling! There’s something so magical and enchanting about the setting and the look of the shoot – love it!
