Halloween Oddities Inspiration Shoot
What’s Halloween without a little bit of spookiness? This styled shoot from Rach Lea Photography and Ivory and Beau takes the Spanish moss that’s native to Savannah, GA and uses it to add an eerie, almost swamp-like effect that’s perfect for All Hallows’ Eve. We love that the “groom” brought his own pets to the shoot for an unexpected treat!
From the stylists, Nicole and Adrienna of Ivory and Beau: My best friend, Rachel, who is now getting married was dying to model for us and her tattoos inspired us to come up with an edgy, funky and darker wedding inspiration. With that are our starting point we came up with the theme of oddities and skulls. The Paris Market and Graveface Records had some amazing skulls and taxidermy pieces that we used for decor elements. For the flowers we wanted really dark elements and used a staple of Savannah and Savannah weddings, spanish moss, in a much darker way than normally seen.
The shoot took place at an old dairy farm, which has an almost haunted feel to it. Savannah is known for being a haunted city so it fit really well but in a completely different way than vendors normally portray Savannah. For an added treat, our guy model brought his 2 pets: a boa constrictor and a pitbull, which were perfect touches for the theme, except for when the boa constrictor decided to slither on the table… 🙂 For the bride we modeled her in an assymetrical funky short dress from Faith Thornburg with a tulle and fishnet Twigs & Honey veil and we have Milan Day Spa do a faux hawk with intertwining braids.

What a fun shoot. Love love love that table set up, it is eerie and beautiful. The copper chain (and plates/silverware) and the perfect pop of color and add elegance.
Looks like punk wedding)))
Very nice style and photographic eye. Also cute groom 🙂
This styling and concept it utterly fantastic! I love the color palette and that there isn’t just a tonne of pumpkin orange everywhere x
The top hat and ink just work so well together. Cool set of images.
