Georgia Horse Farm Wedding
Horses, barbecue, Elvis… could it get any more perfectly southern than this? Christian and Anna celebrated their wedding day at a Georgia Polo Farm with the amazing Laura Leslie tagging along for posterity, and pulled color inspiration from every wildflower under the sun. The result is a truly colorful authentic Georgian affair!
From the bride, Anna: I love animals so to have our wedding surrounded by horses, dogs and pigs, was ideal. And we were married in front of a barn! Our wedding leaned a little more towards the non-traditional. However, I did have my daddy walk me down the isle and give me away. Christian and I also shared our first dance to the tune of Elvis’ “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Also, it wouldn’t be a southern wedding without serving some delicious BBQ at the reception!
I first saw my wedding dress online and adored it. It was simple and classic but still had a princess feel to it. I discovered it was from David’s Bridal and the very next day I went down there and tried it on. I knew immediately it was “the one.”
I wanted our wedding to have a very relaxed feel to it so I didn’t want the traditional wedding cake or rigid flower center pieces. Instead we decided on a variety of flavors of cupcakes instead of our cake. To add even more variation to the reception we searched antique store for old tin cans to arrange the flowers in. I think they really added a brightness and sense of fun to the whole event.
For me the most memorable moment for us was our first look photo shoot. We really liked the idea of seeing each other for the first time being a more intimate and special moment. Being able too see the look on Christian’s face and hug him and kiss was definitely the most memorable part of the day.

I’m in love with this wedding! The venue, the photography, all the bright colors… it looks like it must have been a truly beautiful day for those two!
Lovely! We’re big fans of barn weddings and will have to check out Chukkar Farm when next we’re in Georgia. And bravo to you for discovering your dress online; Brenda did the same, fell in love, tried it on, and as they say, the rest was history.
The photography on this is awesome! The sunlight in her hair is gorgeous, and the photo of the guys holding the bouquets is totally fun.
These are all gorgeous! My favorites are the hanging Polaroid on the clothes lines and the beer in the tub!
Love it – down to earth but still elegant!

Love the vintage style hair and make-up and the picture of the boys holding the flowers!
You mention the bridal hair artist Beth Hardy, just wondering what make-up artist they used to do their make-up?
