Garden Virginia Wedding
This bride has got some seriously amazing style. Her Lazaro gown is vintage glam to the max, and so are her gorgeous pin curl waves! The bride isn’t the only stunner though — the locale is enough to make any girl start running for the nearest countryside. As always, Gabe Aceves did a wonderful job capturing the day!
From the bride, Dani: I wanted a really natural not over done feel. Basically pulled right out of etsy or Anthropologie. I wanted to take my style and make it something Evan would enjoy as well. Instead of super feminine floral shabby chic touches, I added rough burlap and live moss with dirt. I wanted lots of wood and natural elements.
I began with the color scheme of taupe and neon orange. But there are so many variations of Taupe and orange that it got complicated and at times daunting to stick with the scheme. The bridesmaids dresses were more tan instead of gray brown, etc. So in the end I pulled away from the strict taupe and orange and began adding touches of green and other muted colors here and there. I’m really happy with the outcome. I was going for natural and rough, while being pretty and light.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Everything will get done. Delegate on your wedding day, because you can’t do it all yourself. And please believe me, everyone IS very happy to help (if you ask nicely ;).
