Romantic Ballroom Wedding in Tulsa
Today’s wedding from Aubrey Marie Photography and Ever Something has a little bit of everything — some rustic details, vintage-inspired fashion, and of course a whole lot of elegance. Leigh and Nathan’s wedding is a classic stunner for the books!
From the bride, Leigh: I wanted the wedding to be classy and elegant but we didn’t want it to be too formal. We wanted all of our guests (us included!) to feel comfortable and relaxed and most importantly we wanted everyone to have so much fun! We loved every second of our wedding day but the best part was belting the lyrics to some of our favorite songs with all of our best friends at the end of the night.
Our colors were Black, Champagne and Blush but I also just went with what I thought looked good. I wasn’t too strict on the color scheme. I would say the one true “DIY” project was that I addressed all of the invitations by hand with a version of calligraphy (some may call it “fake” 🙂 ). But I received so many compliments on them and everyone was so surprised that I was the one who did them and I didn’t hire anyone! (But I did hire someone for the escort cards and table numbers and programs).
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Try not to get too caught up in the planning and just trust that everything is going to turn out even better than you could have planned!
