Old World Romance Wedding Inspiration in Prague

Consider me guilty — I would live in this inspiration shoot in a heartbeat if it was possible. Enhancing all of the beauty of Prague’s Old World charm, Arte De Vie and Blue Gardenia Events created a feminine scene with hues of pink, ivory, gold, and accents of black for a hint of drama. Lifted straight out of a fairy tale, we’ll let the images take it from here:

From the event designer, Blue Gardenia Events: In the heart of Bohemia, now the Czech Republic, we find old world romance on the Charles Bridge. The Charles Bridge is an iconic symbol that has stood the test of time, a gateway taking us to another time and place. The statues lining the bridge are ominous, mystical, gilded. It is this mystical mood that we wanted to capture in this styled shoot. The bride’s stunning Kelly Faetanini gown with gilded accents and gold leaf tiara by Eden Luxe Bridal are the perfect starting point. Black paper goods with gilded ink echo the ominous statues while the blush, plum, and rich wine hues of the florals, cake, and the tablescape are deeply romantic. Our bride and groom are at the center of this mystical romance – and, their tender embraces reveal a deep and abiding love… a tale as old as time and as timeless as the Charles Bridge.

All flowers for this shoot were purchased from a local flower market. (It was exciting to see what local flowers would be available and a bit nerve wracking hoping that I would be able to find the perfect flowers to match the overall color palette of the shoot!) The table you see in the shoot is one that we borrowed from a vendor at a local market (he made homemade wine). There was definitely a language barrier – as we didn’t speak Czech and he didn’t speak English. But, he was kind enough to let some strangers borrow his table overnight!
