Luxe Winter Wonderland Wedding Inspiration
What would the holiday season be without touches of deep cranberry, gold glitter, and flower crowns? This was the basis for today’s styled shoot from Emily Millay Photography, A Charming Fete, and Twig Florals, who created a dreamy winter wedding affair that’s sure to get you into the good ol’ holiday spirit.
From the florist, Bronwen of Twig Florals: On the cusp of a chilly winter, we’re cozying up with super saturated hues of plum, cranberry and ruby with lush textures like tufted velvet and fox fur, dark woodland romance is in the air. The depth of color pops against the gentle peach undertones and golden glow of the meadow. Other decor included antique ruby wine goblets, mixed china and gold flatware plus lots of natural earthy elements such as antlers, feathers and lots of lush greenery and flowers. The tablescape was filled with flowers (garden roses, anemones, ranunculus), eucalyptus greens, pomegranates, mixed vintage brass candle sticks and bud vases, scattered gold feathers and antlers.
We showcased a naked cake placed over a vintage gold mirror and adorned with flowers and pomegranates. The cool meadow enclosed by the deep forest became the perfect setting for this enchanting shoot. The bride took cues from a modern depiction of Snow White (using the gold mirrors and pomegranate as props) as if she’d stumbled upon a majestic clearing in the woods. The deep dark colors reflected the story. Several woodland creatures wandered into our scene unexpectedly. The bride wore a vintage fur cape and ivory lace gown. Her loose curls were swept up and secured with a delicate floral crown. Deep berry lips and nails completed her look. She wore an heirloom opal ring set in gold.
