Lake Tahoe Wedding Inspiration

We’re making our way towards the cooler weather of fall, and when we see shoots like this one from Bret Cole, Jan Hatch & Gayle Jarrett of California Vintage Rentals + Design, and Wanda’s Flower Shop, we can’t help but get even more excited to brew up some hot cocoa and pull out our cushy sweaters. Some inspiring floral design, a drool-worthy wedding cake, and a Monique Lhuillier gown all add up to pure wedding magic here!

From the photographer, Bret Cole: The stylist (Jan Hatch) and I wanted to come up with a look that was clean, but unstructured. Organic, but with touches of rustic elegance that fits Tahoe. We chose a lot of plants that are native to the Tahoe area to include in the floral arrangements, and the sleek lines and warm woods of our mid-century modern furniture flowed well with the Resort’s style. When I pitched it to the marketing team at Squaw Creek, they loved it. I chose the models and vendors who joined us, and they deserve big props. I think they did an amazing job!
