Industrial Glam Wedding Inspiration

An art deco inspired affair, today’s styled shoot boasts an incredible transformation of an industrial warehouse into sleek + sophisticated wedding inspiration. Lemiga Events partnered with Akeem Clayton to ensure that the sharp color blocking and acrylic table numbers were softened by towering floral arrangements and plush lounge settings. With a flickering seating chart display, the room is brought to life, and the resulting images from Alexis June are pure magic!

From the event designers, Lemiga Events: We love working with unique venue spaces to create an unexpected event design. For our winter styled shoot we were inspired by the Atlanta Daylight Studio located in the creative Westside District of Atlanta. Originally a 1920s Shell Oil facility, Atlanta Daylight Studio is a beautifully restored warehouse with metal riveted walls, beams and high ceilings. With multiple rows of windows, it is completely daylight controlled with the click of a switch. The unique character of the space created a raw and industrial backdrop to our luxe design.

A modern invitation suite from Papered Wonders set the tone with a stand out monogram printed in gold on clear acrylic. Escort cards were hung from silk ribbon on a candle wall for a dramatic display. There’s just something about the warm glow of candlelight in winter that breathes romance. We love welcome boxes that are thoughtfully designed to show guests how much you appreciate their presence at your wedding. This box by Aster Market blends style and comfort with beautifully curated goodies for guests. I Do Linens provided an exquisite black sequin lace cake table linen that coordinated perfectly with the textures of the 3 tier wedding cake from Peche Petite.

I selected a color palette of blush, black, and gold for a romantic, chic, and classic design. The square reception table design included modern touches with black place settings and acrylic menus, along with lush floral and plenty of candlelight. A dramatic tall centerpiece designed by Akeem Clayton was topped off with black floating candles. Black lace chair caps enhanced what are usually standard gold chiavari chairs. Winter season invites warm textures and we loved designing a lounge space with velvet furniture, plush pillows, and gorgeous floral.

For this styled shoot, we wanted to showcase a modern approach to bridal portraits. No longer stuffy and overly staged, portraits with the right photographer can be beautifully styled to create artful displays of the bride and her gown. Photography by Alexis June captures our bride in a timeless yet modern light. The ultimate in accessories for a glamorous chic bride – we paired a gorgeous pair of shoes, custom garter and luxurious perfume. From the Jimmy Choo bridal collection, the white suede “Viola” sandals are embellished in crystals and finished with an ostrich feather tassel. Lovely garters from La Gartier include “The Florentine” – made out of a sparkling rose-gold floret-shaped band, and “the Athena” which features a mixture of opals and rhinestones. Our bride was absolutely stunning in the “Wellesley” gown by Anne Barge. From the Fall 2016 Collection, it features a tiered tulle ball gown skirt edged in horsehair with a hand-beaded lace bodice, and a drop dead gorgeous plunging back. We started the bride with an elegant but soft top bun to show off the neckline – a great look for the ceremony. And then transitioned to beautiful romantic curls. Changing hair styles is a great way for brides to transition their look from ceremony to reception without changing gowns.
