Boho weddings tug at our heart strings. They’re relaxed, easy-going, fun-loving, and throw such unique wedding design at us each time we have the pleasure of getting these eclectic affairs. Skyeler and James’s boho Arizona wedding mixes the concept of having a great time at a huge party with lots of love and heartfelt moments. With Jennifer Thye with Imoni Events making sure the day went smoothly, Melissa Jill beautifully captured all of those heartfelt moments, along with the crazy-good floral designs by Carte Blanche Design. Seriously, what could be better than a desert wedding with modern trends like these?
From the bride, Skyeler: I envisioned a laid-back bohemian vibe. I didn’t want anything too formal because we are not formal at all. I wanted a bohemian backyard desert wedding where people felt relaxed and enjoyed themselves. We did not have a color scheme, but the colors were based off of blooms on cacti. Very bright and colorful.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Relax! Don’t take anything too seriously. The most memorable parts of our wedding are the things we didn’t have planned, like the 77-year-old best man trying to wear a Christmas tie at the ceremony. Silly instances like this make your wedding unique.
Photo booths are a great addition to wedding receptions, and they are cool alternatives to wedding favors. They’re a fun and modern way to give something to your guests while putting a contemporary twist on it!

We did not have a first dance song, but we did make a CD including all of the music featured at our wedding and gave it to our guests.
