Festive Bohemian NYE Wedding
Today’s couple decided to hold their wedding on New Years Eve, meaning an extra memorable celebration was in order. Natalie Broach Photography captured the wedding of Jessica and Alex, which brought together two cultures and two families in the most beautiful of ways. We’re crushing hard on the gold geometric backdrop for the ceremony!
From the bride, Jessica: My fiancé is Mexican, so we definitely wanted to bring a southwestern vibe to our ceremony and reception. I knew that I wanted the wedding favors to be mini succulents and cacti and I wanted them to do dual purpose as the centerpieces for the tables. I planned the décor and colors from that idea; we decided on sage and black as the main colors with accents of gold and rose gold. We wanted our wedding to be unique and fun capturing our personalities and style. We had our arch custom built with a triangle design idea. I handmade all of the flower crowns and hair pieces for my bridal party so everyone would be different, and lined the aisle with lanterns. The table setting was an eclectic arrangements of bottles, candles, flowers, succulents, cacti and mercury glass vases. It really is a special moment when you’ve envisioned what you want your wedding day to be and look like and you’re able to see all your hard work and planning come to life. For dinner we had tacos while a mariachi band played at each table, it was amazing! We wore sombreros as we walked around and greeted and thanked all of our family and friends for coming and then spent the rest of the night dancing and celebrating our special day! We had your traditional New Year’s Eve hats and blowers as we counted down to midnight. It was the absolute perfect day and night and I love that our anniversary will always be a party to celebrate each year!
From the photographer, Natalie Broach Photography: This wedding was definitely a celebration! Surrounded by family and friends, Jessica and Alex brought in the new year with not just a wedding, but a party! Jessica extended the reception which transitioned into an after party where she had a second guest list. Because she knew she wanted a more intimate wedding ceremony she kept it to just close friends and family. Jessica and Alex knew that because they wanted a new year’s eve wedding that they also would want it to be a huge celebration, so that’s where they had the idea to have an after party where almost everyone they knew was invited to celebrate!
